So this is my first first review ever. Before you read this just remember that a review is often just an opinion piece. So before you chop my head off if you disagree, keep in mind we are all entitled to out own opinion, but we aren't entitled to murder.
Dream Knights starred, Song Ha Yoon and all of the GOT7 members. If you don't know GOT7 they are a 7 member boy group that started in JYP entertainment company. If you really want to know all about the beautiful members of GOT7 I'll throw a link somewhere.
This was more of a web series drama and every episode ranged from 12- 20 minutes depending on what the focus was in that episode. There were only 12 episodes, so you could probably watch it in a day if it wasn't SO BAD. Okay, it wasn't downright atrocious or anything. The drama was about these four boys that were guardians/protectors of this girl who had "a lot of pain." These boys were supposed to be mysterious because they appeared out of nowhere.
Let's be honest, if this drama didn't have the cute and talented GOT7 in it, it would be trash, but because it was CLEARLY made to benefit their music careers and make a larger name for themselves it got a lot of good feedback and publicity. I'll give props where it's due, they had some good songs put in there. They were stuck in my head even after I finished the drama. So I went out and bought them. If that was their goal, congratulations you freaking succeeded.
When watching this drama, all I could think about was anime. With these powers they had, yeah I said it, they had powers. Like, excuse me what?

The concept was also kind of corny, like random hot guys appear out of nowhere and this girl lets them live with her? Then the ending was kind of like what? Dance competition? Childish is a good term to describe this drama. Everything was anti climatic in my opinion. The character that Song Ha Yoon played irked me because she just seemed to lack everything, she was totally one dimensional. If anything the only one that seem to have some kind of depth to them was Junior, and he played... himself?
His character had an interesting background story, and I really wished that it was developed more. I'm just saying The Bravest Warriors has a better plot than this drama and it's a cartoon. (Ah that sounded like a backhanded compliment, but I really meant it with the utmost respect, I honestly like The Bravest Warriors).
If you're looking for a short, quirky, and funny romantic comedy, then you should check this out? I give is 2.5 G-Dragon heads out of 5, but I mean it's probably because I went in looking for a real drama and came out with a web series. Whatever y'all! It was cute even though it wasn't amazing! Good job GOT7 and JYP.
